Dear Michael:

The 2008 Grey Cup was an extraordinary event on many fronts: not only did the Montreal Alouettes re-write the history books by setting the top 3 all time Grey Cup attendance records with 66, 389 fans packing the Olympic Stadium to cheer our Alouette’s against the Calgary Stampeders, but we succeeded in presenting the most comprehensive series of fan events during the week lead up to the big game. The installation of our downtown Grey Cup Village, with its “Joie de Vie” theme, was the largest tailgate type presentation of its kind in the modern Grey Cup era, and has subsequently set the standard for future Grey Cup fan events and festivities. From fantasy football and interactive Play with the Pro’s fan events, to team fan club rallies and the nightly Molson concert series, we were able to add a unique Montreal flavor to this Canadian fall ritual, while finding new and creative mediums to activate key sponsorships and engage fans in the football Mecca that is Montreal.

Moreover, as we continue to build off of this great success, and move towards building the culture of avid tailgating and BBQ in Quebec, I must take a moment to thank you and congratulate you for an unbelievable job in not only providing the best pulled pork and lobster bisque that CFL fans have ever tasted, but for your tireless commitment to quality, customer service and innovation. While Montreal is renowned for its culinary prowess, the culture of good old fashion tailgate BBQ is in its embryonic stages. Thanks to your keen sense of taste, we were able to present fans with traditional favorites, while incorporating some local flavors. Your ability to relate and adapt your services to fit within the parameters of events such as our Golf Tournament, Opening Day of training camp, to a massive national event such as the Grey Cup show not only your versatility, but a true passion for food and people.

As we prepare for the 2009 season, we look forward to working with you as we strive toward our 7th Grey Cup appearance this decade, bringing awesome food and great people together every step of the way! Your food, spices, marinates and ideas are incredible, but most importantly, I believe it is your service and interpersonal skills that enable you to make that special moment all that much more memorable, and clearly distinguishes you from the competition!

On behalf of our entire organization, I wish you all the best in 2009, and look forward to working with you throughout another championship season! See you on the grill!
