About Michael

ZEE Grub is the brainchild of Montreal chef Michael Phillips. Actually, it’s more a labour of love. Michael was trained in Kansas City by Canadian born, American chef, cookbook author and seven time World Barbeque champion, Paul Kirk, a.k.a. “Baron of BBQ”.

Drawing from Paul Kirks 35 years of championship BBQ experience, Michael designed his custom built and Canadian made, 22 foot smoker rig and introduced Montreal to ZEE flavours of the smoky southwest.
